Matt's note: This mixer came to me in excellent condition, except the base had a little rust and about one square inch of the paint was bubbling. I sanded it down, treated the rust, and trialed at least a half dozen different paint colors to try to match the original paint. It's not perfect, but it is close.
This gorgeous Almond Cream Hobart-produced K5SS Mixer was manufactured c. March 1984 and has received an extensive refresh, to include grease, gaskets, o-ring, dowel pins, groove pin and a new cord. Take comfort in knowing Matt's Mixer Repair offers a one-year warranty and completely stands behind every item sold. And Delivery is available!
Includes: Stand Mixer, original bowl and whisk, dough hook, and an uncoated flat beater.
Paint Condition: 7/10. The base was repainted using Behr Chiffon Cream and a 2K clear coat, then wet sanded and polished. It isn't a perfect match, but it is close. On the rest of the mixer, there are some marks and signs of use in the paint.
Mechanical: 9/10. This is a solid mixer in good condition internally. It has a little "grumble" at STIR and 2, but smooths out at higher speeds. There is also a very faint gear train noise from the planetary, but all looks good and well-aligned (it's also covered in my warranty). Machine was thoroughly cleaned and regreased using Phillips 66 Food Machinery Grease.
Other: The bowl has obvious signs of use, but is in working condition.
