This white Hobart-produced K5-A Mixer was manufactured on June 27th, 1978 and just received an extensive refresh, to include new gaskets, grease, pins, o-ring, and a new 3-prong cord installed (with the ground wire connected to the stator stud behind the bearing bracket). Take comfort in knowing Matt's Mixer Repair offers a one-year warranty and completely stands behind every item sold. And Delivery is available!
Includes: Stand Mixer, original bowl, whisk, dough hook, and flat beater.
Paint Condition: 8/10. There are a couple small abrasion marks on top (visible in photos) and signs of use in the paint, but the paint is in great shape for 48 years of use.
Mechanical: 9/10. This is a solid mixer in very good condition internally. Machine was thoroughly cleaned and regreased using Phillips 66 Food Machinery Grease. There’s a minimal amount of sparking on the speed control board at lower speeds, resulting in a minor fluctuation in speed (not even audible in the video). This is very common in pre-Solid State models such as the K5-A.
Other: The bowl and accessories have signs of use, but are in working condition.
