The previous owner says she \"beat the stew\" out of this mixer (haha!), but the gear train shows virtually no signs of use (and certainly no abuse)...this Artisan is in great condition internally. Machine was thoroughly cleaned and regreased using Phillips 66 Food Machinery Grease. One note: the tilt head lock lever returns to the lock position when the head is tilted (a nuisance, but not a serious problem) - I didn't notice it until it was put back together.
